Green Tea Review

Fans of green tea really like to throw around the ancient Chinese proverb, “Better to be deprived of food for three days, than tea for one.”  But how beneficial is green tea, really?  Well, that’s what you’re about to find out.

Well, for starters, there’s tons of kinds of green tea out there on the market.  You really want to make sure you get organic green tea for all the same reasons you want to try and get organically grown foods of other types.  You avoid all those pesticides and chemicals, and it guarantees that everything for your tea was done naturally so that you get the most health benefits from it.

So, why is green tea so healthy for you?  Well, they have antioxidants called flavonoids inside them, as does white and black tea, but green tea has much more of them, and they tend to be better preserved because green tea goes through less oxidization than the other teas do.   To put it another way, the reason there are more antioxidants is because it isn’t oxidized as much.

What good are antioxidants, you might ask.  Well, they’re very good for you because they help fight cancer, among other things, by helping to refurbish dying/dead cells.  Many antioxidants help to get rid of dead tissue while helping the good, live tissue to grow.

Some additional benefits to green tea are that it helps with rheumatoid arthritis, it can help with your cholesterol, it helps fight infections, and it gives you an overall boost to your immune system.

Now, some might be concerned about the fact that green tea has caffeine in it.  Well, it does, but its a relatively small amount, especially when compared to other caffeinated products.  It has less caffeine than coffee, and certainly has quite a bit less than a lot of popular soda drinks.  The thing about those things is, they also give you stuff like carbonation while contributing nothing good to your body.

“But, you haven’t talked about the weight loss benefits,” you might say.  How can green tea help you lose weight and be a part of your diet?  In addition to boosting your immune system and overall health, it also speeds up your metabolism, which in turn helps you lose weight.  To have a significant impact on your weight, though, you’ll likely need to drink between 3 and 5 cups of green tea a day, which is why green tea pills were created.

If you’re asking whether or not those pills you see everywhere actually work, well I can attest that they do.  Scientists and researchers have worked hard to make sure that the extract from green tea leaves converts well into diet pills, and they’ve done a great job of it.  While you may see several different kinds of pills on the market, the best one I’ve currently seen is Green Tea Purity.  They offer a free trial bottle if you pay the small shipping and handling charge so you can try it out for yourself, which is great!  If you want to try it out click here, or check the banner at the top or bottom of the page.

So, to sum up the benefits of green tea, it:

Helps you lose weight

Keeps your mind sharp

Helps fight cancer

Helps with arthritis

Boosts your immune system
